Cool Text Generator
Make your words impossible to miss with glitch, upside-down, strikethrough, bubble, squared, and double-struck Unicode text styles — all free, all copy-paste ready.
What cool text actually is
Cool text refers to Unicode characters and combining mark techniques that make your words look visually unusual — corrupted, flipped, enclosed in shapes, or drawn with double strokes. These are all real characters within the Unicode standard, not visual effects applied on top of plain text. Because the style is part of the character itself, it carries through copy-paste into any app that renders Unicode.
Different cool styles work through different Unicode mechanisms. Bubble and squared text swap regular letters for enclosed versions — each letter sits inside a circle or square as a standalone Unicode character. Double-struck uses characters originally created for mathematical blackboard notation, each drawn with a distinctive double stroke. Upside-down text maps letters to Unicode characters that look like rotated or mirrored versions of the originals, often from other language scripts or phonetic alphabet blocks. Glitch and strikethrough text layer combining Unicode marks onto regular letters — extra marks that stack above, through, and below each character.
The key advantage is the same across all of these styles: they paste bold or styled into plain-text fields — social media bios, game usernames, chat messages — without any formatting getting stripped, because there is no formatting code to strip. The style is the character.
How to use the cool text generator
- Type your text into the box at the top of this page. A name, a short phrase, or a one-line caption works best. Up to 200 characters are supported.
- Six cool styles appear instantly as you type, in real time below the input box.
- Scroll through and compare. Each style creates a completely different visual impression — corrupted versus playful versus mathematical versus structural.
- Press Copy next to the style that fits your purpose.
- Paste wherever you need it — Discord server, game name, Instagram bio, TikTok caption, or any text field that accepts Unicode.
No account needed. No download. Nothing you type is stored. The tool runs entirely in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Why do some cool characters show as boxes on my phone?
That means your device's font does not include a glyph for that Unicode character. Different phones use different system fonts with different Unicode coverage. Try a different style from the list — not every style uses the same character blocks, so switching often fixes box display issues.
Is glitch text the same as Zalgo text?
They are closely related. Both add Unicode combining marks above and below letters to create a chaotic look. Zalgo text typically stacks far more marks for an extreme, dripping effect. The glitch style here is tuned to stay more readable while still looking corrupted and unstable.
Can I use cool text in a username?
Many social platforms and games allow it, but some restrict display names to plain ASCII letters and numbers. If a name gets rejected, try double-struck or bold from the bold generator which use more universally supported character blocks.
